Mrs. Moore is a Morton native and an MHS graduate bringing a unique blend of experience and local pride to BMJ. She is married to Montie Moore and together they have one son, Keeton, a 7th grader at BMJ. They live in Morton, where they are active members of the community.
This year marks Mrs. Moore's third year teaching at BMJ, following an 25-year career in banking. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance from Southern Miss and recently earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from Belhaven University. This diverse educational background enriches her teaching approach, making history come alive for her students. Mrs. Moore currently teaches 5th grade Social Studies and co-sponsors the BMJ Beta Club, fostering both academic and extracurricular growth in students.
Outside the classroom, she enjoys watching sports, participating in activities at her church Morton UMC, and spending time with family and friends. Mrs. Moore is passionate about history and aims to help students become better citizens within the community and the world. Her favorite educational quote, “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest,” by Benjamin Franklin, reflecting a dedication to lifelong learning and the importance of education.
