Mrs. Moore is a proud Morton native and MHS graduate who brings a unique blend of professional experience, community pride, and a passion for education to BMJ. She is married to Montie Moore, and together they have one son, Keeton, an 8th grader at BMJ. Their family lives in Morton, where they are active members of the community and Morton United Methodist Church.
This year marks Mrs. Moore’s fourth year at BMJ, following a 25-year career in banking. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Belhaven University. After three years of teaching 5th grade Social Studies, she is excited to begin a new chapter as the school librarian. Her diverse background supports her mission to foster a love of reading, research, and curiosity in every student.
In addition to her role in the library, Mrs. Moore serves as the BMJ Annual Sponsor and continues to co-sponsor the BMJ Beta Club, helping students grow academically, creatively, and as leaders.
Outside the school day, she enjoys watching sports, participating in church activities, and spending time with family and friends. Mrs. Moore is passionate about promoting literacy and helping students discover the joy and power of reading. One of her favorite quotes, “Reading is essential for those who seek to rise above the ordinary,” by Jim Rohn, reflects her belief in the lifelong value of books and learning.
