Hello! My name is Amanda Walls. I am from Brandon, Ms. I received my Bachelor's degree in elementary education from Mississippi State University. Go Dawgs! I also have a Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Mississippi College. I am certified to teach elementary school (K-6th), English, Science, Social Studies (7-12th) & Special Education for Mild/Moderate Disabilities (K-12th).This is my seventh year in the public school system. I was an assistant teacher for three years in elementary school. After I became a certified teacher, I taught two years in preschool. Now, I am teaching middle school at Bettye Mae Jack in Morton, Ms. This is my second year teaching the seventh grade for Inclusion/Special Education.
My duties are to provide individual accommodations/modifications for my students who are in my class. My students come to see me for tutoring in small groups for fifty minutes a day. I visit them in their regular education classrooms periodically throughout the day, as well. I enjoy what I do and hope to accumulate more meaningful duties that help the students learn and grow.
Since I have been teaching here, I really enjoy teaching the students. I love the community and people. I enjoy working at Bettye Mae Jack Middle School along with my fellow teachers and administrators.
